Ash Wednesday Liturgies

Lent growthAsh Wednesday (February 14, 2014) is the start of the Lenten season of renewal. On Ash Wednesday, with the whole assembly, each of us is called to a fast, called to return to God with our whole hearts, to be reconciled with God and one another.

Ashes will be distributed at the following times:

  • 8:30 AM (Morning Prayer) – Fr. Randy presiding and Polly Duncan Collum preaching
  • 7:00 PM (Eucharistic Liturgy – Mass) – Fr. Randy presiding and preaching
  • Can we open ourselves to re-engage with community for a time of renewal?
  • Can we welcome this time to re-examine how we are being invited into more whole-hearted relationship with God, our deepest selves and the world - to become true ambassadors for Christ?
  • Are we open to the opportunities and insights that prayer, fasting and almsgiving will bring?
