We are working on re-opening the Library, Nursery, and Serving Kitchen in the Community Center for day-to-day use for meetings as soon as possible. Check with your staff person with questions. Fr. Tony’s Farewell Dinner will still be our official unveiling of the newly renovated space! Thank you for your patience, and we will update everyone soon.
Butler Flooring did a phenomenal job installing a very complicated floor design and the results are amazing! Cleaner, brighter, and easier to clean and maintain; this new flooring is a true winner and a stunning showpiece.
The smaller storage closets have all been refreshed and shelving re-worked. We had a fabulous and hard-working crew of volunteers from start to finish, which means huge savings for our budget over using a closet design firm.
Our new chairs have been delivered and unpacked. We are grateful to the crew of volunteers that came out to do this for us versus having the delivery company unpack, resulting in potentially thousands of dollars in savings. The tables are delayed a bit but should be here soon. We were able to offer the old chairs to three other parishes, helping them reduce their costs.
The new ceiling tiles have been installed and our new lighting control system is in place. We still need to add some labels, but the control system allows for all lights on/all lights off, just the task lighting on, just the canned lighting on, and specific lighting for presentations and the like. This is controlled before you enter the Community Center but can also be changed in the individual rooms.
Due to the continued generosity of our parishioners, both the Worship Center windows and Community Center renovations have been funded on current gifts, and we can maintain a balance in the Capital Campaign Savings Accounts, earning interest each month. Epiphany is very fortunate to be able to say this, especially with increasing energy costs, material costs, and labor costs nationwide. AMAZING!
What’s Next?
Community Center: We are gathering quotes to redo the restrooms and serving kitchen now and hope to start those projects in the summer. Lead times and material availability will dictate this. We hope to minimize disruption in the fall. Stay tuned for more information.
Epiphany House: We are in the planning stages of this important building on campus. Window replacement quotes and HVAC possibilities are being reviewed.
