Education: B.A in Leadership, Creighton University, Omaha, NE
Erin grew up in Louisville and attended Epiphany as a parishioner with her family from 1995- 2010. Her family was heavily involved in parish life but now lives in Cincinnati, OH.
During her time here, Epiphany was a second home to Erin. She was an active member of the youth group. She particularly enjoyed her involvement in BibleTimes Marketplace, mission trips to Auxier, KY with Hand In Hand Ministries, Christmas Eve Children's Mass, and the National Catholic Youth Conference (NCYC).
Erin attended Assumption High School and graduated in 2012. Upon graduation, she went to Butler University in Indianapolis, IN, but left after two years to pursue a call to international mission. She later finished her degree online through Creighton University.
Erin has a strong passion for service and working with young people. She has a true missionary heart and spent five years as a lay missionary with Franciscan Mission Service, living in solidarity with marginalized communities around the world. During her time as a missionary, she served in South Africa, Jamaica, and Guatemala. She has a special place in her heart for Guatemala and Valle de Los Angeles (Valley of the Angels), the Franciscan boarding school she lived and served for three years. In Guatemala, she had many titles: English teacher, tutor, missionary, spiritual mentor, friend, and sister, but most importantly she was like a second mom to the 215 children at the school ranging from six to eighteen years old. It brought her great joy to accompany these children in their faith journeys, and she is excited to do the same with the youth of Epiphany.
In her free time, Erin loves reading, going on walks, and baking. She also loves to organize game nights and movie nights with her family and friends.
Erin's favorite saint is St. Therese of Lisieux because she is the patron saint of missionaries. "I love her Little Way, a simplistic and practical approach to spirituality. She has been known to send roses from heaven, and I have been blessed to have that experience. She is a beautiful young saint for us all. Love that connection and vulnerability."
Erin's favorite Bible verse: “I urge you to live in a manner worthy of the call you have received with all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another through love.” - Ephesians 4:1-2
