Liturgy for the Blessing of Human Labor

1. Celebrating Labor Day

Labor Day is often a time to mark the end of summer with one more family gather or picnic before Fall. But we know this civil holiday is meant to be a time to reflect on the meaning of work and the dignity of workers. We would like to add to our celebrations a “Liturgy for the Blessing of Human Labor” which may become an annual tradition for us. So, the year we will offer mass on Labor Day as a time to pray and reflect on the beauty of God’s Creation (God’s special work) as well as to pray for all the people who work every day in any way to support and preserve the beauty of creation for the benefit of all people. Let us pray especially for those whose work is hard or difficult for whatever reason.

Join us on Monday, September 7, 2026 at 10:00 AM in the Worship Center for this special mass for Labor Day.
