Rita’s volunteer work included, but was not limited to Epiphany Catholic Church, Habitat for Humanity, St. Paul’s Soup Kitchen and Big Brothers/Big Sisters School Mentoring. Rita and Howard were generous and loving toward others, including strangers. Rita and her husband, Howard N. Bowles, were founding members of the (former) St. Pius X Church, and founding members of Epiphany Catholic Church.

Visitation for Rita will be from 3-8PM on Thursday, July 17 at Ratterman & Sons Funeral Home, 3800 Bardstown Road. Funeral Mass will be at 11AM on Friday, July 18 at Epiphany. Burial will be private at a later date.

Expressions of sympathy may be made to Catholic Charities, Habitat for Humanity, WHAS Crusade for Children, The Healing Place or any charity of your choice.
